Well we are now just a little over two weeks out from the biggest showiest event in this otherwise quite humble city.

At no other time of the year is there more fuss around what we’re wearing (or perhaps in the infield – NOT wearing). Most of you locals know the drill already – maybe even better than we do. So this will not be as much of a sartorial advice column for the big event but rather an invitation to enjoy the communal anticipation and perhaps gain some inspiration if you haven’t yet decided upon your race-day duds. And of course we’ll have a few suggestions straight from the store -available for purchase- as well.

*Danielle over at LouWhatWear gives us some ideas on what to wear no matter where we’re sitting, standing, schmoozing, carousing…

*The Courier Journal has all the buzz on who & what to look for this year

*Some advice for the gentlemen from The Art of Manliness

*Because we can’t help ourselves… Celebrities at the Kentucky Derby

*Photos from last year’s Barnstable Brown party. Wonder who will be there this year?!

*Of course – good ol’ Pinterest inspiration

Below are just a few of the outfits we’ve had a blast putting together in the store. Our Facebook page has even more and we’ll continue to update and inspire you (and motivate you with tag markdowns!) over the next couple of weeks.

EVEN BETTER – Tune in to Great Day Live on Friday, April 26th and see our Derby looks modeled on the big screen.
